An electric customer is qualified if the household income is at or below 125 percent of the federal poverty guidelines.   If you are not a participant in the above-qualified programs but think you qualify based on household income you can self-enroll by calling toll-free 1-866-454-8387, or go online at:

Many local non-profit agencies, local government offices, public welfare offices, and local churches often offer assistance with utility bills in order of priority (age/health) and need (eligibility based on income, family size, and health needs).  Local assistance for utilities can also be accessed by calling 711 or searching online at tn.gov by listing your location and entering "utilities" in the search list.
